I visited a fabulous resort last year; based in Scotland the resort consisted of a cluster of Log chalets, each had its own enchanted garden and the luxury kind had an out door sheltered hot tub. There was a pool and gym on site and a family bar with a few restaurants and entertainment for children. There were several activities on offer, horse riding, orienteering and tennis are just a few, there was so much going on and yet it was so relaxed. My children loved the entertainment they were constantly joining in with activities and the resort was so safe I could allow them to wonder off and do so, I really enjoyed staying in the log chalets, it was so cozy and felt more like home then home does. I enjoyed having tea and lunch in our enclosed garden as a family and the whole time being chilled out. The log chalets were cheap to rent and we paid just a small price for ours, the furniture inside was lovely and I could not fault it in any way. The whole place was clean the staff were friendly and I must admit I was sad to leave.
